Hello there! Thanks so much for dropping by.
On my blog this week, I'll be showing you
different things you can do with
frames like these:
I got these at the yard sale. In case you find something
like this at a flea market or thrift store and the
price is right, please buy it!
Because from blah, we can turn it into...
TADA! -- a place to organize lovely earrings!
Attach a clean produce sack or chicken wire
at the back of the frame using tacks or
a staple gun.
Then add on the earrings!
You can hang necklaces & bracelets too,
using small hooks or re-shaped paper clips.
It will make picking accessories a breeze
since your choices are neatly laid out before you.
Awesome! I have some extra window screen stuff around here so that may be what I use on mine. Thanks for the inspiration!

I have quite a few frames that I have collected over the years..thank you for these new creative ways to make use of them. I will be checking back for more ideas..
ReplyDeletei LOVE this!!! such a great idea! the green color is stunning and it's just PERFECT for storing jewelry and having it as a decorative piece as well!!
ReplyDeleteYou can also use cross stitch fabric or old stockings/leggings to hold the earrings.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your comments Barb, Betty, Sandy and Brook (thanks for the tip)! Have a fun & creative day :)
ReplyDeleteSuch an awesome idea! My mom taught me at a young age to snatch up frames at yard sales and thrift stores. It's amazing how just b/c you might not like the artwork or color in them, they will be 50c verses $15 new at the store empty! I always have a few cans of spray paint in the ready to fix up frames. I don't think I've ever bought one new at the store - I always salvage ones! :)
ReplyDeletelove love love this idea! my poor little earrings are currently piled in a heap on my vanity...
ReplyDeleteYou did NOT! Oh YES you did! That is amazing and tres kewl!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great story Christina! You're making those frames happy by giving them a second life :)
ReplyDeleteHello iheartkiwi! Thanks for visiting! Before this project, my earrings were stuffed in little bags in a drawer...I had to dig around to find one that matched my outfit :)

You did an awesome job Kara! Thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteThis is such a good idea! Right now my earrings are all crammed in a box and I keep the ones I wear the most on my desk, but this is the perfect solution! At home, I hang them from a necklace chain but this is a much better idea.
ReplyDeleteThank you Jay! Happy organizing! :)
